![]() ![]() With the reunion of Pari and Abdullah came yet another “new” character added to the story. Although Pari has limited memory anything about her brother, she knows that their separation is what made her feel like there was a void in her life. We finally know that the purpose of Markos all along was to reunite the separated siblings. After many long years, Pari flies out to see her brother in California. In this section, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, Abdullah and his long lost sister, Pari are finally reunited. ![]() I hope I can explain it to you in a way that makes sense to both someone who has already read the book and someone who has never taken the journey with words. I now realize that the way I looked at the novel was not fair. It was kind of hard to understand what Khaled Hosseini was trying to show from chapter to chapter but at the end I had a change in opinion. And The Mountains Echoed was an emotional roller coaster but not in the way one would expect a book to make you feel. ![]() Another journey has come to an end but this probably won’t be one to remember. ![]()
